2. Oklahoma Sooners at Oklahoma State Cowboys (Nov. 27, 7:30 p.m. ET)

Considering where Oklahoma was ranked prior to losing to Baylor, it’s hard to believe that the Sooners have a real chance of making the playoff at this point. Having said that, there might still be an outside shot that will need them to win convincingly in their final two regular season game for it to come to fruition. That includes winning in Stillwater for Bedlam against an Oklahoma State team that, frankly, has a much more realistic shot at the CFP than their rivals.

And the recent history of Bedlam makes that narrative so much juicier. The Sooners have dominated their in-state rivals for nearly two decades, winning 16 of the last 18 matchups in the Bedlam Series. Yet, the Cowboys have been the far better and more consistently impressive team than the Sooners this season. And if they want to prove they’re playoff-worthy, then overcoming the recent history will be the time for them to show as much.

1. Ohio State Buckeyes at Michigan Wolverines (Nov. 27, Noon ET)

Of course, this game is on the docket.

My assumption mentioned earlier is that Ohio State beats Michigan State in Week 12, making the stakes for this rivalry matchup that much higher. Essentially, the winner of Ohio State-Michigan would win the Big Ten East and be fully in the driver’s seat to reach the College Football Playoff.

As of late, the Buckeyes have dominated the rivalry. Jim Harbaugh hasn’t beaten Ohio State since he took over the Wolverines program, Michigan hasn’t won since 2011 overall and they have only won once since 2004 — talk about one-sided.

Yet, if there were ever a moment to go down narrative street and change everything, it would be this year and this game. Harbaugh vanquishing his boogeyman to not only get a win over OSU but all but punch a ticket to the playoff would be the stuff they make movies about. Not that everyone wouldn’t be tuning into this matchup anyway, but that possibility will make it can’t-miss action.
