Lakers lost so bad to the Bulls that LeBron James left in the 4th quarter
The Los Angeles Lakers lost 121-103 to the Bulls on Monday night, prompting injured Lakers star LeBron James to leave the game early.
In a blowout loss, it’s not uncommon for fans of a team to leave the arena early and get a head start on the journey home before the traffic hits.
What’s less common is when an injured LeBron James heads for the Lakers locker room in the fourth quarter instead of watching his team struggle in a loss to the Chicago Bulls.
At 5:18 in the fourth quarter, Bulls player Ayo Dosunmu made 2/2 free throws, making the score 115-88. The Lakers went on to score 15 points in garbage time, but it mattered little when the Bulls were so far ahead.
In fact, Dosunmu was subbed into the game because DeMar DeRozan grew tired. With an opportunity to go for 40 points against the storied Los Angeles team, DeRozan chose to settle for 38 points in a rout against Los Angeles.
Rather than remain helpless on the sideline, James headed for the locker room to welcome a helpless Lakers after an embarrassing loss.

Despite the frustration felt at the loss, James shared a special moment with former Laker Alex Caruso as the Lakers honored Caruso at last night’s game.
James, who has remained on the sideline with an abdominal strain, hasn’t suited up for the Lakers since Nov. 2. Since then, the Lakers are 3-4, with two of those wins stretching into overtime. He is expected to return from injury this Friday, Nov. 19.
Wednesday night, the Lakers will take on the Milwaukee Bucks and GQ Athlete of the Year
. This will be the eighth game James has missed due to this particular injury, missing two earlier this season due to an ankle injury.
As long as James is out, the Lakers may still get wins, but they are sure to struggle the way they did on Monday against the Bulls.
