College football upset pick Week 12, No. 4: Utah

Rank: 23 | Opponent: vs. Oregon | Time: Saturday, Nov. 20, 7:30 p.m. ET

This one is a strange one. Despite Oregon being ranked in the top three, they are giving three points to the Utah Utes. It sounds like one of those lines where the oddsmakers know something we don’t know. With Utah getting three points on the line, the Utes are basically being considered as an equal to the Ducks, who at this point will be playing for a championship if they win out.

Utah and Oregon have always had a great rivalry. We didn’t end up getting this matchup last season, so it will feel even better seeing these teams face off this year. Oregon has won three of the last five matchups in this series and they hold a 23-10 record in the history of these two teams.

Oregon might not be a juggernaut like they were in years past, but they are still a great team. They should not be giving points to anyone until the College Football Playoff if they get there. This line just feels off, which is a little worrisome. However, trust the talent. Oregon is the better team on the field, in the coaching staff, and just about everywhere else. Utah is back in the Top 25, and good for them for getting there, but Oregon is looking to keep its championship hopes alive this week.
