24. Gillette Stadium (New England Patriots)

Please don’t hurt my family, they have nothing to do with this. I completely respect the large number of historical moments that have happened in this stadium. I also respect the fact that the greatest dynasty in the history of the sport was built in Gillette Stadium.

That said, it’s boring. There’s nothing remarkable about its design. This is another “it’s definitely a stadium” stadium. The blue and red seats are a nice pop of color, but there isn’t anything about the structure itself that stands out among any other venue.

This would be higher if the Patriots still had their script font in the end zones with the Patriots head entwined into the writing, that looked really great. Instead, they opted to go with the more basic, modern font that they have today. I do love the Patriot logo. Whenever you see it, you automatically associate it with winning.

When it’s all said and done, though, Gillette Stadium is just another stadium. Yes the history there is undeniable, but so is the unfortunate truth that the stadium itself is very basic. Compared to the new modern wonders around the league, it’s just another face in the crowd.
