5 bold predictions for Bears against Ravens

In the midst of a four-game losing streak, Matt Nagy’s Chicago Bears look to get well against an unpredictable Baltimore Ravens’ squad.

The good news for the team from the Windy City is that it has some extra time to prepare for one of the best teams in the AFC.

The bad news is that the Chicago Bears have now dropped four straight games after a 3-2 start. That includes their last two tilts at Soldier Field in the form of setbacks to the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers.

Enter the Baltimore Ravens, who also have more than a week to prepare for this interconference clash. When last John Harbaugh’s club took the field, the team was humbled by the Miami Dolphins, 22-10, on a Thursday night at Hard Rock Stadium.

While the focal point in this clash will likely be the quarterback match-up between former NFL MVP Lamar Jackson and rookie Justin Fields, the key may be how two of the league’s more disappointing defensive units fare on Sunday.

Bears: Bold predictions vs. Ravens in Week 11

5. Bears do not allow a sack

Now, this would be a surprise. Nine games into their season, the Bears own a 3-6 record. And the NFL’s bottom-ranked passing attack in terms of yards through the air is also dead last in the league when it comes to protecting their quarterbacks.

Matt Nagy’s team has allowed an NFL-high 33 sacks. Rookie signal-caller Justin Fields has been dumped 29 times. And veteran Andy Dalton, the Week 1 starter, has been sacked on four occasions.

Of course, the Ravens’ pass rush has disappointed to date – totaling just 19 sacks in nine outings. Food for thought.
