Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley is ready to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday and he no doubt has plenty of respect for the one and only Mike Tomlin.

There’s a fun AFC showdown on the way this weekend, with the Los Angeles Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers all set to face off. While there’s plenty of star power on each side, both head coaches are quite respected as well.

On one side you’ve got a veteran in Mike Tomlin, while Brandon Staley is really making his mark as a young leader in the game. If you ask Staley about Tomlin, you can expect him to give a glowing review of the Pittsburgh coach. During a press conference, Staley truly didn’t have enough good things to say about his opponent for Week 11.

Brandon Staley has an incredible amount of respect for Mike Tomlin

As you can see from the tweet above, Staley really couldn’t have more respect for Tomlin and all that he’s been able to accomplish while at Heinz Field. Tomlin, who has a Super Bowl win to his name, just became the second most-winningest coach in Pittsburgh history.

While it’s been a bit of an up-and-down season for the Steelers offensively, they’re still 5-3 on the year and surely in the hunt to potentially win the AFC North. They’re right behind the Baltimore Ravens, a team coming off a disappointing loss to the Miami Dolphins last week.

Meanwhile for the Chargers, they’re 5-4 on the season and right behind the 6-4 Chiefs in the AFC West as well. Staley has done a remarkable job ever since taking over things in L.A. He could make even more noise with a win over Pittsburgh. Win or lose, though, Staley will always have a tremendous amount of love for Tomlin.
