24. Junior Seau

Throughout the course of the 1990s, Junior Seau was the heartbeat of the San Diego Chargers. Drafted with the fifth overall pick in the 1990 NFL Draft, Seau became the leader of the defense almost immediately.

In his second season, he totaled 129 tackles and seven sacks, an incredibly impressive number for someone who played inside. Seau made the first of 12 Pro Bowls that season, and followed it with three consecutive All-Pro selections from 1992-94.

Seau had an ungodly 155 tackles in 1994, along with three fumble recoveries and 5.5 sacks. He was an integral part of the Chargers earning an appearance in Super Bowl XXIX. Seau would go on to earn three more All-Pro selections throughout his career to give him a total of six.

Along with his accolades on the field, Seau won the 1994 Walter Payton Man of the Year award for his work outside of football. He played 20 seasons in the NFL, finishing with one of the longest, and most accomplished, careers for a defensive player. He is one of the most beloved players in Chargers history, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
