Alabama, Michigan and Cincinnati’s Week 12 wins will all impact the next College Football Playoff rankings.

While the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Michigan Wolverines and the Cincinnati Bearcats all proved victorious on Saturday, the outcomes of their games will all shape the next College Football Playoff rankings.

No. 5 Cincinnati dismantled an eight-win SMU team at Nippert. No. 6 Michigan went into College Park and had its way with Maryland. As for No. 2 Alabama, the Crimson Tide were pushed to the brink by the No. 21 Arkansas Razorbacks at Bryant-Denny. While all three of these teams are still alive for playoff berths, each has a hard pathway of potentially getting into the big dance this year.

Here what the top 10 of the next College Football playoff rankings could look like for Week 13.

College Football Playoff Rankings: Projected top 10 for Week 13

  1. Georgia Bulldogs
  2. Ohio State Buckeyes
  3. Alabama Crimson Tide
  4. Oregon Ducks
  5. Cincinnati Bearcats
  6. Michigan Wolverines
  7. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
  8. Oklahoma State Cowboys
  9. Baylor Bears
  10. Ole Miss Rebels

Undefeated Georgia will stay at No. 1 after blowing out FCS Charleston Southern. Moving up to No. 2 will be Ohio State after the Buckeyes wiped the floor with previously No. 7 Michigan State in The Horseshoe. Alabama will drop to No. 3 after nearly giving the game away to Arkansas. Unless Oregon wins decidedly in Salt Lake over Utah, the Ducks will drop to No. 4 in next week’s rankings.

Cincinnati and Michigan remain the first two teams out at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively. However, they can both make the playoff if they win out, although the Bearcats need Georgia and Utah to help them out to potentially get there. Rounding out the top 10 will be Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Baylor and Ole Miss. Michigan State and Wake Forest drop out of the top 10 entirely.

These latest rankings will prove that Ohio State is playing like the No. 2 team in the country.
