The Georgia Bulldogs scored their first touchdown against Charleston Southern by handing the ball off to 340-pound defensive lineman Jordan Davis.

Jordan Davis is a finalist for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy. Maybe the Heisman Trophy should take a look at the 340-pound two-way player.

A defensive lineman by trade, Davis moonlighted as a running back for Georgia against Charleston Southern.

He made his mark, and a Heisman statement, when he took a handoff at the goal line and punched it in for a score.

You will never see a greater one-yard rushing touchdown for as long as you watch football. This is the peak. It’s all downhill from here. Davis, who is generously listed at 340 pounds is closer to 360, according to head coach Kirby Smart, so maybe this is a part of the goalline offense moving forward. Who is going to stop him?

Davis came into the game with 23 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and two sacks in 2021 for the nation’s No. 1 defense for the nation’s No. 1 team.

He can now add a rushing touchdown to his career stats.
