2. Marcus Semien

If Cardinals fans are hoping for a big-time splash, Marcus Semien sure would be it. The slugger is coming off an incredible 2021 campaign. Semien was an All-Star last season and came in third in the AL MVP voting thanks to putting up some spectacular numbers.

Semien hit .265, with 45 blasts and 102 RBI. Yup, those are the kinds of stats that stole the show for the Toronto Blue Jays. With that said, Semien is another guy who is receiving loads of interest in free agency and he’s going to want top dollar for his services.

St. Louis indeed could be the team to put a monster offer on the table, as this team really feels like it’s only a few pieces away from getting back to the World Series. Folks all over St. Louis remain jacked up that Nolan Arenado made his way to town and he’s now manning the hot corner.

Semien could really take the offense to the next level. It’ll be on the Cardinals front office to try and get something done here, but Semien makes a ton of sense for them. Only time will tell if the Cards can pull off some magic to win the Semien sweepstakes.
