It is rivalry week in college football, so plan accordingly to watch these five games.

Rivalries are what make college football the best sport out there, and there will be plenty on display during rivalry week on Thanksgiving Weekend.

More often than not, this is when the two big schools in the state go at it. With so many people traveling back home for Thanksgiving, it makes all the sense in the world for these storied rivalry games to be played in the last week of the regular season. While some teams have serious College Football Playoff aspirations, others would love nothing more than to play spoiler in Week 13.

Here are the five best games on tap for the Week 13 college football slate.

Rivalry Weekend: 5 best college football games of the week

5. Civil War: Oregon State Beavers (7-4) at Oregon Ducks (9-2)

Though the name of the rivalry has changed, the pure, undeniable hatred between the Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers has not changed. While the Ducks are no longer a threat to make the College Football Playoff, Oregon State is thriving under head coach Jonathan Smith. Though the game will be played in Eugene, the Beavers have a great shot at running their state.

4. Iron Bowl: Alabama Crimson Tide (10-1) at Auburn Tigers (6-5)

Though this is arguably the best rivalry in college football, the Iron Bowl between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Auburn Tigers takes a ding this year with Auburn in the midst of a rebuild. Alabama still controls its own destiny to make the playoff. While Auburn is bowl eligible, all the 6-5 Tigers can do is play spoiler. They want nothing more than to ruin Alabama’ season at home.

If these two rivalry games do not do it for you this year, try these three other ones on for size.
