3. TE Mike Gesicki totals 100-plus receiving yards

He currently ranks second on the team with 49 catches and 579 receiving yards. He has just a single 100-yard receiving performance this season and that came in the club’s 23-20 loss to the Jaguars in London, England.

The last few weeks have been a rollercoaster ride for tight end Mike Gesicki. But he could also be ready to take advantage of an up-and-down Carolina Panthers’ defensive unit. While Matt Rhule’s team has allowed the fewest passing yards per game in the league, it’s also allowed 16 scores through the air in 11 contests.

As for Gesicki, he rebounded from a rough Thursday night outing against the Ravens in Week 10 to grab five passes for 50 yards in the team’s 24-17 win last Sunday over the Jets. Although the club managed a 22-10 victory over Baltimore, the standout tight end was targeted seven times and failed to come up with a reception.

As for this Sunday’s clash with Carolina, it’s a team that has done a great job of getting after opposing quarterbacks via 30 sacks. But the Dolphins should be able to take advantage of this aspect. And while the Panthers’ defense could focus on wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, Gesecki could finish with impressive numbers.
