Running Backs
Christian McCaffrey, Carolina Panthers at Miami Dolphins: $9,700
McCaffey has not rushed for 100 yards in three games since returning from injury, but he does have over 100 total yards in all three with an uptick in passing game usage over the last two (17 catches on 18 targets). As he may be getting a little healthier, a nice matchup is on the way in Week 12.
The Dolphins have been playing better defense lately, but theyāre still allowing 19.7 FanDuel points per game to running backs and itās safe to say they havenāt faced anyone of McCaffreyās caliber in several weeks.
A thinner swath of options makes paying up for McCaffrey a viable thing this week.
Javonte Williams, Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers-$5,700
Williamsā managers in season-long leagues are waiting for a full-on breakout, as he shares work with Melvin Gordon. Maybe a Week 11 bye prompted a review from the Broncosā coaching staff,Ā as they cling to the fringes of playoff contention a shift of the workload toward the rookie could come.
In Week 12 the Broncos get a Chargers defense thatās in the bottom-five of the league in fantasy points allowed to running backs. Theyāve allowed the second-most rushing scores to the position (13), while allowing 4.7 yards per carry.
If Williams were much more expensive, he might not make sense here in a possible timeshare situation. But at below $6,000 he becomes a value, and certainly a better play than Gordon ($6,300).
