Bold Prediction No. 3: Mac Jones is a must-start

There are some Mac Jones let-down possibilities this week. Everyone is talking about him and the New England Patriots after they took over first place in the AFC East thanks to the Buffalo Bills downfall. He’s being considered the front runner for the Rookie of the Year award, and he’s led his team to five wins in a row.

In terms of fantasy, the results haven’t been as fruitful. He has one game over 20 points. Cam Newton has the same amount of games over 20 points, and Newton has played two games. In fact, Newton’s season-high is higher than Jones’. Mac has avoided the dreadful start, but he’s been muted at best when it comes to his passing stats.

This week will be different. He’s facing a Tennessee Titans team that has struggled against wide receivers. The Patriots have a plethora of receivers who can make plays in Nelson Agholor, Kendrick Bourne, and Jakobi Meyers. Those three will be all over the field, and the Patriots will sprinkle in some contributions from Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith.

The Titans have allowed the most fantasy points to wide receivers in the league. The Patriots will take advantage of this, as Jones looks to keep the Patriots in the hunt for playoff contention.
