5 bold predictions for Saints against Bills
By Scott Rogust
3. Trevor Siemian held to under 200 yards of passing
Since Winston went down with his knee injury, Trevor Siemian has been the one leading the Saints’ offense. Even though he put up admirable numbers against the Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans, he had a terrible time facing off against the Eagles this past weekend.
On the day, Siemian threw two interceptions on the day, one of which was returned by Eagles cornerback Darius Slay for a touchdown. Yet, he did throw three touchdowns and ran for a touchdown as well. Yet three of those scores came with the team trailing in the second half.
Thursday will not be a fun time for Siemian, considering he faces one of the best pass defenses in the NFL. Through 10 games this year, Buffalo has surrendered an average of 181.8 passing yards per game, the second-fewest in the league. But perhaps the most terrifying news for Siemian is that the Bills have only given up seven passing touchdowns on the year, the fewest in the entire NFL!
Taking into account that Siemian may very well be without Kamara and Ingram, and with tight end Adam Trautman placed on the injured reserve, there are not many options for the quarterback to lean upon. Siemian throwing for under 200 passing yards is not a crazy possibility.
