Michigan football fans are not happy with ESPN’s College GameDay guest picker selection
Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco will have the honor of serving as the College GameDay guest picker for The Game in Ann Arbor between Michigan and Ohio State.
ESPN’s College GameDay is in Ann Arbor, Michigan for The Game between No. 2 Ohio State and No. 5 Michigan. The winner heads to the Big Ten Championship Game and keeps their College Football Playoff hopes alive. The loser is out of the Big Ten race and would need all sorts of chaos and carnage to have a chance at making the playoff.
Ohio State has dominated the rivalry this century, winning each meeting since 2011 and Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is still seeking his first win over the Buckeyes. Harbaugh did win his two starts when he was the Michigan quarterback during his playing days but has yet to find success against them as a coach.
Could this year be the year Michigan snaps the losing streak against Ohio State?
Will anyone on the College GameDay panel be brave enough to pick the upset and go with Michigan?
GameDay guest picker Sebastian Maniscalco will join Rece Davis, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard for the final 15 minutes of the show to make picks for the biggest games of Rivalry Weekend.
Sebastian Maniscalco reveals he’s the College GameDay guest picker at Michigan
Maniscalco teases in the video he knows absolutely nothing about college football, so who knows which way he’s leaning. As someone who is familiar with working in front of a crowd and commanding a large audience, Maniscalco should know how to make a crowd happy and avoid getting a smattering of boos. For that reason alone, maybe he’ll go with Michigan and keep the Wolverines fans in attendance happy.
Also for that reason, Michigan football fans flooded the comments wondering why a comedian from the suburbs of Chicago with zero ties to Michigan and college football would get the honor of being the GameDay guest picker.
