Kansas State football fans should get ready to face Clemson in the Cheez-It Bowl in Orlando.

After clearly overlooking the Texas football team in the Longhorns’ bowl game, Kansas State football fans can feel confident about hanging out with Mickey Mouse this holiday season.

Despite falling to 7-5 on the season, Kansas State is likely heading to Florida for the Wildcats’ holiday bowl game. While Kansas State was never in serious contention to win the Big 12 conference championship this season, being able to play in a bowl game is a huge step in the right direction for head coach Chris Klieman. The Wildcats might get to play someone they never would.

Though their bowl opponent may not be thrilled with the game, K-State should welcome the opportunity to play up to some extent.

Kansas State bowl projections: Wildcats vs. Clemson in Cheez-It Bowl

Brett McMurphy of The Action Network has Kansas State playing the Clemson Tigers in the 2021 Cheez-It Bowl at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida on Dec. 29.

While Kansas State has never made it to the College Football Playoff, Clemson has been a regular participant in the event since its creation. Though this year is very much a down season for the Clemson program, this is a rare opportunity for a Big 12 team like Kansas State to play someone like the Tigers. Maybe Kansas State will put forth a better effort than they did the Texas game?

Though there is a lot to be decided here, Kansas State is probably heading to the Cheez-It Bowl.
