New USC football head coach Lincoln Riley is already on the verge of bringing one of his top five-star Oklahoma commits along with him.

Lincoln Riley leaving Oklahoma to take over at USC football’s head coach has sent shockwaves through the college football world.

Those waves are wasting no time in hitting the recruiting world as well.

Riley and his staff at Oklahoma had compiled the No. 7 ranked recruiting class for 2022 and at least one of their five-star prospects is already signaling his intention to follow the coach to USC.

Raleek Brown projected to follow Lincoln Riley to USC football

Almost immediate five-star running back Raleek Brown tweeted about staying home in Los Angeles.

Then ESPN’s Tom VanHaaren tweeted that Brown said “Lincoln Riley going to USC changes everything for him.”

The folks over at 247Sports seem to agree as well. Already, the Crystal Ball for Brown has flipped heavily in favor of the Trojans.

USC was one of Brown’s finalists before he committed to Oklahoma in February. As a Mater Dei product, the draw of staying home is obvious but it wasn’t beaten out by the draw of playing for Riley. Now he can have both.

Brown ranks No. 34 in the class of 2022 per the 247Sports composite. He is the No. 2 running back and No. 2 prospect in the state of California. At 5-foot-8, 185 pounds, Gabe Brooks evaluated him as an “undersized but fairly well-built all-purpose type back with electric top-end speed.”
