Former Michigan quarterback Tom Brady was undoubtedly thrilled after the Wolverines upset Ohio State and took to Instagram to voice his pleasure.

NFL quarterback Tom Brady played his college football at the University of Michigan and, as such, faced off against Ohio State every year. After the Wolverines finally defeated the rival Buckeyes 42-27 for the first time since 2011, Brady was nonetheless thrilled and took to social media to voice his excitement.

Brady can be heard cheering as running back Hassan Haskins hurdles over Ohio State defensive back Cameron Brown on a day where Haskins scored five touchdowns to send the Wolverines to the Big 10 Championship Game against the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Following the game, fans in Ann Arbor stormed the field to commemorate the historical moment while fellow Michigan alumni, like Brady, joined in the fun both on the field and from a distance. Among them, basketball head coach Juwan Howard, who shared a hug with head coach Jim Harbaugh following the victory.

Tom Brady celebrated the Michigan Wolverines victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes with pure ecstasy and joy

Tom Brady attended Michigan for five years; as such, his career record against Ohio State is 4-1. However, as a starter against the Columbus Crew, he went 1-1. As a junior, the Buckeyes took the win by a score of 31-16. In his final contest against them, Brady got the last laugh with a 24-17 victory, en route to finishing his college career with a 35-34 win over Shaun Alexander and Alabama in the Orange Bowl.

Since Brady’s departure, the only quarterbacks to have beaten Ohio State are Drew Henson, Denard Robinson, and now Cade McNamara. Both Henson and Robinson had stellar stats in their victories, while McNamara played more of a game manager role and allowed Haskins and co. to run the ball effectively.

It’s been a long time coming for Michigan fans, a decade in the making. If this is Brady’s reaction to beating Ohio State, what would it sound like if the Wolverines were to win the Big 10 Championship or potentially make noise in the College Football Playoff?
