The Duke Blue Devils and Michigan Wolverines have tricky matchups that could lead them to be trendy choices for college basketball upset picks this week.

There was a ton of drama in the world of college basketball last week as chaos took over at many of Feast Week’s MTEs. Three Top 5 teams lost, including No. 1 Gonzaga against Duke, while another Top 10 team fell with Alabama getting tripped up by Rick Pitino’s Iona Gaels.

Gonzaga and Alabama were among last week’s college basketball upset picks, with a third team (Auburn) losing as well while a fourth (Memphis) got tripped up in their second game at the NIT Season Tip-Off. Let’s take a look at another five potential upset victims this week, beginning with the newly minted No. 1.

Upset alert: Week 4 college basketball upset picks

No. 1 Duke at Ohio State – Tuesday

The only action of the week for Duke is a dangerous road trip to Ohio State as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The Buckeyes have played a lot of competitive games this year and are expected to be one of the Big Ten’s top teams, making this a dangerous road spot for the Blue Devils, who could have a hangover after Friday’s dramatic win against Gonzaga.

No. 14 Florida at Oklahoma – Wednesday

The Gators have been one of college basketball’s biggest surprises thus far, making their mark with an upset of Florida State in Week 1 and riding it to a perfect 6-0 start that includes three wins over power conference teams. Wednesday brings Florida’s first true road game and it is a tough trip to Norman against Oklahoma, which is looking to score the first big win of the Porter Moser era.

No. 24 Michigan at North Carolina – Wednesday

The second Big Ten/ACC Challenge matchup of the week features two programs with lofty expectations that have struggled a bit so far in Michigan and North Carolina. The Wolverines have squandered a few opportunities to pick up marquee wins, making this game against North Carolina a tough road trip against a physical Tar Heels team.

No. 13 Tennessee at Colorado – Saturday

The Volunteers are trying to make a name for themselves in a crowded SEC but their road trip to Colorado is going to be a challenge. The Buffaloes are far more talented than their early record would indicate and playing at altitude could be tricky for a Tennessee team that isn’t used to dealing with those conditions.

Xavier at Oklahoma State – Sunday

The Musketeers have played well to start the season, including an upset win over in-state rival Ohio State, but they could walk into a landmine against Oklahoma State on Sunday. The Cowboys are still very talented even without top NBA pick Cade Cunningham and have nothing to lose since they have to serve a postseason ban, making this a dangerous spot for the X-men to walk into.
