College football upset picks for Championship Week. Can Alabama put Georgia on upset alert? Can Michigan beat Iowa to make the College Football Playoff?

Michigan finally did it. They beat Ohio State to send themselves skyrocketing into the best possible position to make their first-ever College Football Playoff. It was the moment everyone in Ann Arbor has been waiting for. It was a major upset, and it shows that even Ohio State can lose to Michigan once in a while. Now, the Wolverines are No. 2 in the College Football Playoff with only Iowa in the Big Ten Championship Game standing in the way of their first playoff berth.

They aren’t the only team with a lot on the line in Championship Week.

Georgia and Alabama meet in the SEC Championship. Georgia is already in regardless of the outcome, but Alabama needs a win to secure their spot. Could Alabama still make it if they have a close loss?

If Alabama beats Georgia it would be the Dawgs first loss of the year and represent a sizable upset one day ahead of the final College Football Playoff rankings.

What other upsets could be in store over Championship Week?

College football upset picks Championship Week, No. 3: Utah

Rank: 17 | Opponent: vs. Oregon +2.5 | Time: Saturday, Dec. 3, 8 p.m. ET

Oregon had a chance to prove itself against the Utah Utes a few weeks ago, and they played their worst game of the season. The offense wasn’t able to score seven points against the Utes. They saw Utah go out to a 28-0 lead going into halftime.

It was a week where literally everything that could go wrong, did. It doesn’t always work that great teams get a second chance to make up for their mistakes, but that is what the Ducks have right now. Their offense can’t possibly be as bad as it was two weeks ago. The dream of the College Football Playoff is dead, but the Ducks as 2.5-point underdogs have a shot at an outright win to take the Pac-12 title.
