Jim Harbaugh has had to deal with so many expectations since becoming head coach at Michigan, and his reaction to clinching a playoff berth is pure joy.

No coach in college football has gone through as much criticism over his tenure as a head coach as Jim Harbaugh at Michigan.

After Saturday’s 42-3 Big Ten Championship victory and clinching a berth in the college football playoffs, the head coach was filled with pure delight.

When the Wolverines scored late to seal what was already a near-certain win and all that entailed, Harbaugh couldn’t contain his elation.

How can he not be? For years, Harbaugh was the center of jokes, and questions grew loud this season about whether or not he could win the big game. Safe to say, those questions have been answered.

But before they find out the details of their College Football Playoff fate and more, he obviously needed a Gatorade shower (which he, of course, loved as well).

Against Iowa, Michigan utilized their old school football approach of playing sound football on both sides of the ball to a convincing victory. Moreover, this season has been one to remember for the Maize and Blue faithful after years of consistently coming up short.

But the journey is not over. Only two victories separate the Wolverines from the most outstanding achievement in college football. Should Michigan wish to hoist the trophy, they first have to win a playoff game and likely take down powerhouse Alabama in the last game. However, looking that far ahead could be a problem, so it’s better to stick to the next game first.

In the meantime, you just can’t help but feel happy for Jim Harbaugh after everything he’s been through, and what better to top it all off than with a national championship? It’s so close, but right now, he and his Wolverines reign supreme in the Big Ten.
