Watch: Alabama football star John Metchie goes down with non-contact injury
Alabama football may have lost one of their best offensive weapons to a non-contact injury before halftime against Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.
Alabama had to feel good going into halftime against Georgia leading by a touchdown.
However, there was a major concern for the team heading for the break after wide receiver John Metchie went down with an injury.
Metchie appeared to hurt his knee without any contact from a defender. That’s never a good sight to see.

Metchie stayed down and had to be checked by trainers after the play. He headed for the locker room early but stopped to watch as his teammates scored a touchdown to go up over Georgia 24-17.
He had six catches for 97 yards and a touchdown in the first half.
At halftime, he was evaluated and came out of the tunnel without a helmet and the broadcast announced he would be out for the rest of the game.
