Watch: Todd Gurley has short but sweet message for Georgia before SEC Championship
By John Buhler
Todd Gurley has a message for the Georgia football team ahead of the SEC Championship game.
Former Georgia football star Todd Gurley is in Atlanta to cheer on his beloved alma mater.
Gurley played for Mark Richt in Athens form 2012 to 2014. While his NFL career has largely come to a halt due to knee issues, the former Pro Bowler with the Los Angeles Rams was seen at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta celebrating the big game that is about to kickoff next door. As expected, Gurley is all Dawgs on Saturday when they take on the Alabama Crimson Tide.
This will be the fourth time Georgia has faced Alabama in a championship setting since 2012.

Todd Gurley shares a short, but sweet message to Georgia football fans
Gurley played in that infamous 2012 SEC Championship game nearly a decade ago. He was a true freshman, the Rams still played in St. Louis and the game was played at the now-demolished Georgia Dome. The Dawgs came up five yards short of an SEC crown and an incredibly easy matchup in the BCS National Championship vs. Manti Te’o and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
But this year feels different. Dawg Nation has been blown away by how thoroughly dominant the 2021 team has been. At 12-0 entering Saturday’s huge game vs. Alabama, Georgia will make the College Football Playoff, no matter what the final score is at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Of course, they have a shot to knock Alabama seemingly out of the mix with their second loss on the year.
For the amount of pain and suffering Alabama has caused Georgia fans over the last 14 years, Gurley and the rest of Dawg Nation hope the result will be different this time around in Atlanta.
