Taysom Hill and a pair of wide receivers on bad teams highlight the top fantasy football pickups for Week 14.

It all comes down to this for fantasy football owners. Week 14 (for most sane owners who don’t play in leagues that decide their championships in Week 18) is the last chance for teams on the brink of the fantasy playoffs to get in the dance or improve their seeding if they are fortunate enough to already have a playoff berth locked up.

Each pickup this week could be the difference between potentially hoisting a trophy in a month or spending the rest of the holidays in the dreaded consolation bracket. Let’s break down this week’s top fantasy pickups with all rostered percentages provided courtesy of Yahoo Sports.

Streaming defenses is often a key to success in the fantasy playoffs and the best team to grab off the waiver wire this week is the Green Bay Packers. Well-rested coming off of a Week 13 bye, the Packers are home this week for a Sunday night matchup against the struggling Chicago Bears.

Matt Nagy’s team has been brutal offensively regardless of whether Justin Fields or Andy Dalton is under center. Green Bay feasted against the Bears when they first met in Week 7, racking up four sacks and an interception for a solid seven fantasy points in standard Yahoo leagues.

Things have only gotten worse for Chicago since then, making the Packers the ideal defense to stream in Week 14. Green Bay is rostered in just 29 percent of Yahoo leagues so this is a unit to target if your regular starter has a bad matchup or you need to cover a bye week.
