15. Lynn Swann’s two catches in Super Bowl X
This is somewhat of a cheat here, but when you think of one Swann catch, you think of the other and they both happened in the same game.
The first of Swann’s two incredible catches came in the first quarter. The Cowboys were leading 7-0 and Pittsburgh was attempting to tie the game. Bradshaw threw the ball down the sideline for Swann, who acrobatically leaped and stretched over Mark Washington, somehow getting both feet down in bounds before falling on the sideline. The Steelers tied the game on a touchdown pass in the red zone.
The second of Swann’s memorable receptions came in the second quarter. The 53 yard catch was made as both Swann and a Cowboys defender fought for the ball. Falling to the ground, Swann made the catch. He would make two more catches throughout the game, including a touchdown. He finished with four receptions for 161 yards and a touchdown as the Steelers won their second consecutive Super Bowl.
The flexibility he put on display helped make those two receptions two of the most memorable in Super Bowl history, and cemented him as one of the best big-game receivers in history.
