Picks No. 4 through 6

Kyle Hamilton. 4. player. 30. . Safety. New York Jets

On Sunday, the New York Jets took on a Philadelphia Eagles team playing without their starting quarterback in Jalen Hurts, so you had to like their chances of keeping it close. However, backup Gardner Minshew has won more than a few games in the NFL, and against this Jets defense, he had his way through the air.

The lack of talent in the secondary for the Jets is astounding, and here, they select Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton with the No. 4 overall pick. Hamilton is one of the more NFL-ready players in this entire draft class, and the Jets need as much talent on that side of the ball as they can get.

30. . Cornerback. New York Jets. Derek Stingley Jr.. 5. player

Pick No. 5 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft belongs to the same team that picked at No. 4 overall, as the Jets will pick with the Seattle Seahawks selection here. The Jets and Seahawks are two of the worst teams in football this season, and while the Seahawks could win a few games down the stretch, there is a real possibility New York ends up with two top-10 picks.

While the Jets added talent to the secondary at No. 4, that does not mean they should stop there, and at pick No. 5, they add the best cornerback in this draft class as well. Derek Stingley Jr. would join Hamilton as two elite defensive backs for this Jets defense, completely changing the narrative surrounding their secondary.

6. player. 31. . Quarterback. New York Giants. Matt Corral

After the New York Jets pick twice within the first five picks, the New York Giants, the team they share MetLife Stadium will take center stage for two picks of their own. The Giants hold not only their first-round pick but also the first pick of the Chicago Bears, which would be the No. 6 overall pick if the season ended tomorrow.

With that pick, the Giants turn the draft on its head, as they select a quarterback with the No. 6 pick for the second time in the last four years. Daniel Jones has been a turnover machine, and while he is talented, it has not worked out in New York, and he is replaced here by Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral.
