Picks No. 26 through 28

player. 124. . Cornerback. Kansas City Chiefs. Kaiir Elam. 26

It seems like forever ago that the Kansas City Chiefs seemed destined to be on the outside looking in, and Patrick Mahomes was deemed ‘broken.’ How times have changed, as they join the New England Patriots as the favorites to get to the Super Bowl and represent the AFC, so they could be picking even later than No. 26 when all is said and done.

If they are here, they need to address the defensive backfield, and Kaiir Elam from Florida is a prospect that could end up going in the top-15 picks. Kansas City does not have many flaws, especially on offense, but the defense has been up-and-down, and Elam could be a long-term answer at the cornerback position.

player. 26. . Linebacker. Baltimore Ravens. Nakobe Dean. 27

While the Baltimore Ravens lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers this past Sunday, that does not mean they are going anywhere in terms of the AFC Playoff race. In fact, the Ravens have one of the more balanced teams on both sides of the ball and should be one of the last teams standing in the conference when all is said and done.

If the season ended tomorrow, the Ravens would hold the No. 27 overall pick in the draft, a selection they use on a linebacker. Nakobe Dean from Georgia is a guy who could end up in the top half of the first round, but if he falls, he fits what the Ravens like to do on offense perfectly.

. Wide Receiver. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jameson Williams. 28. player. 48

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been one of the best teams in football since signing Tom Brady, and they could be in line to win their second consecutive Super Bowl. Going forward, we do not know how many more years to Brady has in the league, but one thing is for sure, he is still one of the best in the game.

Looking ahead, the Bucs are going to need some help at the wide receiver position, as they have key guys entering free agency, and won’t be able to pay them all. One player they could target is Alabama speedster Jameson Williams, who will have all eyes on him during the College Football Playoff run with Jon Metchie out due to a torn ACL.
