Patrick Mahomes will throw three touchdowns
While the Chiefs have got their groove back in terms of winning, the offense still hasn’t quite hit their stride. Kansas City is winning games with defense while scoring enough to stay out of trouble.
The one exception to that formula over the last month was the demolition of the Raiders when the teams last met.
Patrick Mahomes threw five touchdowns, more than he’s thrown in the other six most recent contests combined. It was his only game with a passer rating above 90 since Week 4.
Something about playing the Raiders got Mahomes going. He’ll go into the second matchup of the season with some serious confidence.
Las Vegas is dealing with injuries on the defensive side of the ball with Denzel Perryman, Carl Nassib and Nick Kwiatkowski unable to practice on Wednesday. It won’t get any easier for them to go against Mahomes again.
The Chiefs quarterback will have another big day.
