Michigan DE Aidan Hutchinson and Desmond Howard shared a savage joke at Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud’s expense at the Heisman Trophy ceremony.

The Heisman Trophy ceremony got really, really awkward on Saturday night.

It was always bound to get a little bit tense when the Heisman voters put Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud on the same stage as Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson.

College football fans might have been mentally prepared to watch Hutchinson rub in the Wolverine’s win over the Buckeyes but the moment was devastatingly awkward nonetheless.

Hutchinson said exactly what you’d expect him to say about Michigan proving themselves by beating Ohio State, winning the Big Ten and getting to the College Football Playoff.

Stroud already looked uncomfortable with the laughter that followed. A pair of giant balloons above his head with the words “Too Soon” and “Not Over It” written on them would have been just as subtle as his expression.

Then Desmond Howard essentially body slammed Stroud and his Ohio State teammates by claiming Kenny Pickett standing between Hutchinson and Stroud was more effective than the Buckeyes offensive line.

Savage. Just savage. And Stroud definitely wasn’t laughing.

Hutchinson sacked Stroud three times in the rivalry game this year and even he looked like wincing after that interjection from Howard.
