Steph Curry: How many 3s is Warriors star from breaking record after 76ers loss?
Steph Curry was on record watch again on Saturday but failed to break the 3-point record again as the Warriors lost to the 76ers.
For the past two Golden State Warriors games, Steph Curry has been chasing the career record for made 3-pointers in NBA history, chasing down the mark set by Ray Allen. And going into Saturday night’s matchup against the 76ers, he needed 10 to hit that mark and own the record.
Instead, in a disappointing showing from the greatest shooter in NBA history and the Warriors as a whole, that fell flat. Curry hit only three attempts from 3-point range as Golden State took a loss on the road.
Now, the chase for the record continues for Steph Curry.
How many 3s is Steph Curry away from record?
After a pretty bad 3-of-14 shooting night from long range against the 76ers, Curry is now six 3-pointers shy of Ray Allen’s record, meaning he will need seven to hold the record by himself.
Warriors schedule: When can Steph Curry break 3-point record?
- Monday, Dec. 13: at Indiana Pacers
- Tuesday, Dec. 14: at New York Knicks
- Friday, Dec. 17: at Boston Celtics
- Saturday, Dec. 18: at Toronto Raptors
In theory, Curry could break the record on Monday night in Indianapolis. However, Marc Stein asked Steve Kerr about the guard’s availability and it sounds like sitting is on the table.
With that said, if that were to happen, Curry with the chance to break the record in MSG would be quite the scene.
