3. LSU Tigers

Brian Kelly, love him or hate him, should have the LSU football program moving in a highly positive direction in the near future. However, as the roster currently stands, the fact of the matter is that the Tigers don’t have even a semi-proven quarterback they can look to with both Myles Brennan and Max Johnson entering the transfer portal themselves.

That, of course, is where Bo Nix could enter the equation. Kelly has enjoyed success before with a quarterback quite similar to Nix in terms of play style and ability as he ran Notre Dame for several years with Ian Book helming the offense. For Kelly to get off the ground swimmingly in Baton Rouge, going after someone like Nix could make a lot of sense.

2. Ole Miss Rebels

Matt Corral was a bonafide star for the Ole Miss Rebels and he proved that again by setting up to play in the Sugar Bowl despite his draft stock still being at stake. That will come to an end soon, though, and head coach Lane Kiffin — who is staying in Oxford and not heading to Oregon, Florida, or any of the other rumored destinations — will need a new quarterback.

Nix’s shortcomings as a thrower from his time at Auburn won’t go away, but they can be minimized in an offense like Kiffin is capable of running. The quick game that also highlights quarterback runs will play into Nix’s ability as an athlete running the offense. As such, the Rebels would make a great deal of sense if the quarterback wants to stay in the SEC, as mentioned with LSU.

1. Cincinnati Bearcats

Luke Fickell has the Cincinnati brand hotter than it’s ever been. The program is heading to the Big 12 soon, but not until after the Bearcats represent the Group of 5 for the first time ever in the College Football Playoff.

After this season, though, there will be changes at Cincinnati as they will have to replace quarterback Desmond Ridder. But why not try and capitalize on the hot brand that’s been created by going after Nix after the Bearcats recruited him and offered the quarterback when he was in high school?

Nix would actually be an ideal replacement for Ridder as they play a similar style of dual-threat, physical game leading an offense. He could slip right in and help keep Cincinnati on the nationally relevant stage.
