14. 1996 Green bay Packers

This was by far the best team of the Brett Favre era in Green Bay. Favre won the MVP and Green Bay was at the top of nearly every statistical category.

The Packers were the league’s highest scoring team, scoring 456 points and averaging 28.5 points per game. They were fifth in the NFL in total offense, and Favre led the NFL in touchdown passes.

Defensively, the Packers were just as dominant. Reggie White found the fountain of Youth and won Defensive Player of the Year. Green Bay allowed just 210 points all season, the fewest in the NFL. They also allowed the fewest yards among all teams with 4,156. They had a three game stretch in which they held teams to six, three, and 10 points, respectively.

The Packers breezed through the playoffs, making their run to the Super Bowl look easier than it ever should be. They defeated the 49ers 35-14 in the Divisional Round, and beat Carolina 30-13 in the NFC Championship Game. They faced the Patriots in the Super Bowl 35-21. The 1996 Packers are one of the most dominant teams of the modern era, and one of the best teams in Packers history.
