Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones knows that the team’s offense has taken a step back, but he’s not ready to panic just yet.
The Dallas Cowboys may have basically locked up the NFC East and be in the hunt for the No. 1 seed in the conference, but Jerry Jones knows things aren’t perfect. Matter of fact, Jones is clearly a bit concerned about the state of the offense.
Dallas did come away with a 27-20 win at FedEd Field over Washington on Sunday, but Dak Prescott and Co. didn’t look the same in the second half when trying to put the game away. So, is Prescott in a bit of a funk? Jones’ latest quote answers that question for you.

Jerry Jones knows Dak Prescott needs to step his game up for the Cowboys
While Jones didn’t come out and call Prescott out, he did say it’s fair to say that Prescott is in a bit of a slump. It’s hard to argue with that too. Going up against Washington, Prescott went 22-of-39 for 211 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. That’s not what anyone wanted to see.
The week before against New Orleans, Prescott was 26-of-40, for 238 yards, one touchdown and one pick. Those aren’t the kind of numbers that Dallas will need to see out of the star quarterback once the playoffs roll around.
Dallas is hoping to go on a deep postseason run and potentially get back to the Super Bowl. It’s been a long drought for Dallas – the team hasn’t won it all since 1996 – and Jones is hoping that Prescott can be the one to end things. If Prescott does want to help Dallas get in a position to bring home the Lombardi Trophy, he’s simply going to have to step his game up.
