LeBron James and fellow NBA stars congratulate Steph Curry for breaking 3-point record
On Monday night against the Indiana Pacers, Curry had 15 shot attempts from behind the 3-point line, and made five of them. That left him just two short of breaking the record.
Curry wasted no time breaking the record in New York City, as his behind the arc shot gave the Warriors a 12-10 lead over the Knicks with over seven minutes on the clock in the first quarter. After breaking the record, there was a pause in the game to acknowledge Curry’s accomplishment. Curry gave the record-breaking basketball to his father, Dell, who was in attendance for the game.
At the age of 33, Curry is officially the top 3-point shooter in NBA history.
