Steph Curry is expected to break Ray Allen’s record for career made 3-pointers on Tuesday at MSG and the soon-to-be-former record-holder will be there.

Everyone has all eyes on Steph Curry at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night. Whether it’s those paying ridiculous ticket prices to get into MSG or glued to their television screens, fans are ready to see the Golden State Warriors superstar set a new NBA record.

After chasing the mark — perhaps a bit too hard — over the last week, Curry is two made 3-pointers away from surpassing Ray Allen in the record books for the most made 3-pointers in a career.

And as fate would have it, Allen has chosen to come to MSG and witness the history-making moment in person and watch his record fall by the wayside.

Steph Curry record: Ray Allen will be at MSG to watch Warriors star pass him

Allen has spoken recently while Curry has been chasing his record about how the Golden State star has changed the NBA and about how remarkable his pursuit of this mark is.

He’s 100 percent right, too. Allen played in 1,300 career games to set the 3-point record at its current point. Curry, with two makes in MSG on Tuesday night, will pass the mark in just 789 games, a full 500+ fewer outings than it took Allen.

We’ve known for a while that Steph Curry was heading towards history, but it will be an even better moment for him to set this record in MSG, the vaunted, hallowed ground of the NBA, and with Ray Allen, the man he’s passing, there to see it.
