Steph Curry made NBA history at MSG on Tuesday night, passing Ray Allen for most made 3’s ever and NBA Twitter was showering the Warriors star with love.

After being on Steph Curry record watch for the past few Warriors games, the moment came on the NBA’s biggest literal stage, Madison Square Garden. The future Hall-of-Famer entered the game just one 3-pointer shy of Ray Allen‘s career record, putting it well within reach.

The expectation, and rightfully so, was that Curry would take down the record at MSG coming into the game and, as he’s done throughout his career with Golden State, he delivered.

After tying the record in the early moments of the game, Curry missed and kept the crowd waiting a few minutes until he sunk a deep, contested 3-point attempt from 28 feet out to take the record for himself.

Curry’s feat is truly remarkable.

It took the Warriors superstar just 789 games to surpass the mark that Allen set in over 500 more outings throughout his career. That’s how truly revolutionary Curry has been to the NBA and game of basketball as a shooter.

And suffice it to say, this won’t be the last bit of history that we see Curry make either.

Next. The Whiteboard: Steph Curry will break Ray Allen’s record, but he won’t be alone. dark
