Jimbo Fisher is building a remarkable recruiting class with the folks who have signed to join the Texas A&M football program this year.

Jimbo Fisher and the Texas A&M Aggies are building an impressive recruiting class. The 2022 Texas A&M football signing class is shaping up to be remarkable as it continues to improve, seemingly with ease.

The Aggies beat out a long list of top-tier college football programs as they signed Denver Harris, a five-star cornerback out of Houston, Texas. Harris was also being recruited by the Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU Tigers, Texas Longhorns, and Arkansas Razorbacks, among many others.

The fact that Texas A&M landed Harris and kept him away is a huge win for the Aggies. The fact that Fisher keeps doing this regularly with this recruiting class is monumental and moves the Aggies closer to the future that he wants A&M to have.

Texas A&M football: Jimbo Fisher, Aggies continue building great recruiting class

Fisher showed up in Aggieland looking to win a national title. The Aggies have paid him handsomely, but, outside of a really good 2020 season, they haven’t exactly gotten all that close to contending for a national championship in Fisher’s first four years with the Aggies.

Fisher has managed to go 34-14 so far with Texas A&M. He’s averaging 8.5 wins and 3.5 losses a season. That’s not much better than what his predecessor, Kevin Sumlin, achieved.

However, if Fisher can regularly recruit like this, there’s a good chance the Aggies can seriously become a championship-caliber program. To build a recruiting class this great is a difficult task. Beating out the likes of Alabama and Georgia for the top-ranked recruiting class isn’t easily done. But, Fisher is doing it.

Let’s see how this all pays off for him.
