Matt Rhule – Carolina Panthers

It appears as if the Carolina Panthers can’t really figure out what they want to do and Matt Rhule doesn’t appear ready for this sort of job.

While Rhule did a remarkable job of getting both the Temple Owls and the Baylor Bears moving in the right direction, it doesn’t seem like he’s going to be all that successful of a head coach with the Panthers.

It might be time for Carolina to move on and start finding a new way forward.

After a humiliating 31-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills, the Panthers are currently 5-9 on the season. Rhule’s overall record as a head coach in the NFL is now just 10-20.

That’s not good.

It’s totally possible that Rhule was a better fit for college football. It’s also possible that this particular NFL gig wasn’t the one that Rhule should have ended up with. Regardless, the Panthers will need to start looking towards the future. There are plenty of needs they’ll need to address and finding a new head coach this offseason should be one of them.
