Browns COVID issues get worse with Kevin Stefanski news
When the Cleveland Browns take on the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday, the team will be without head coach Kevin Stefanski.
Originally scheduled to face off on Saturday afternoon, the Las Vegas Raiders and Cleveland Browns are now ready to dance on Monday evening. However, things won’t be looking even close to the same for the AFC North side.
Cleveland has multiple players out due to COVID protocols, including quarterback Baker Mayfield. On top of that, things were just made worse with the news that head coach Kevin Stefanski also wasn’t cleared in time and he’ll have to watch this showdown from home.
Kevin Stefanski ruled out for Browns game due to COVID protocols
Things have just been made even more complicated for Cleveland. It’s one thing to be without your starting quarterback, but to also have your head coach miss things too? That’s just brutal. With Baker Mayfield out, fans were hoping Case Keenum could step in and put on a great performance.
Well, Keenum also hasn’t cleared protocols and he’ll miss this one. That means the Cleveland offense will be run by Nick Mullens. Mullens hasn’t appeared in a game yet this season. The former 49ers signal-caller played in 10 contests last year, though, making eight starts.
Mullens is going to have his hands full trying to keep pace with Derek Carr, but you never know what might happen here. We’ll see if the Browns can come out on top of this one, but the cards sure are stacked against them.
