28. Luol Deng (2003-2004)

Luol Deng came to Duke following an incredible high school career — he was the second-ranked player from the Class of 2003, behind only LeBron James. That being said, Deng was the highest-ranked freshman in the nation, and the expectations placed upon him were pretty big.

Deng lived up to those expectations in his lone season with the Blue Devils, averaging 15.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game. Those numbers were good enough for the All-ACC third team, the ACC All-Freshman team, and he was also named to the All-ACC Tournament team.

Luol Deng then left Duke for the NBA Draft and put together a solid NBA career, starting with the Chicago Bulls. He played in the All-Star Game twice, was named to the 2004-05 All-Rookie team, and also the 2011-12 All-Defensive team.
