Indianapolis Colts: Dallas Clark

In an offense that featured the greatest regular-season quarterback of all time, Peyton Manning, along with Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne, one couldn’t be faulted for not remembering what Dallas Clark brought to the Colts offense.

From 2007-09, Clark was one of the best tight ends in football. He caught 58 passes in 2007 for 616 yards and 11 touchdowns. He topped his production in 2008 with 77 receptions for 848 yards and six touchdowns. While he didn’t find the end zone as often as he did the previous year, he became more of a focal point in the offense.

2009 was his best season with the Colts. Clark caught 100 passes for over 1,100 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was a Pro Bowler and was also named All-Pro after having one of the best seasons ever for a tight end.

Clark was Manning’s safety valve in the mid-late 2000s. He helped the Colts win Super Bowl XLI and is one of the best tight ends of his generation. He was overshadowed because of the firepower in the Colts offense in that time period, but he was a big piece of what made that machine go.
