Los Angeles Chargers: Eric Weddle

No matter where Eric Weddle went, he produced at a high rate. He was drafted by the Chargers in 2007.

While he was a solid starter for a few seasons, he took off in the 2010s. Weddle led the NFL in interceptions with seven in 2011. He made his first Pro Bowl that season and was named All-Pro. He was a Pro Bowler once again in 2013. He had 115 tackles and intercepted two passes. In this stretch, Weddle was the Chargers’ best defender. In 2014, he was named All-pro once again with 114 tackles.

Weddle left for Baltimore in 2016 where he continued to be a force. He was a Pro Bowler from 2016-18 with the Ravens, continuing to play well into his mid-30s. Weddle retired after 2019, which he spent with the Rams. From 2007-15, he was one of the most reliable players on the Chargers roster. He was a six-time Pro Bowler in his career, as well as a two-time All-Pro.

Wherever he went, Weddle produced- the best of those years were in San Diego. He is a member of the 2010s All-Decade Team and is one of the best safeties of his era.
