Fenway Bowl, Military Bowl canceled due to COVID issues with Virginia, Boston College

Due to COVID-19 issues with a couple different teams, two more bowl games have been canceled. Neither the Fenway Bowl or Military Bowl will be played.
Well, two more bowl games won’t happen this season due to COVID-19 issues with a couple more teams. Both the Fenway Bowl and the Military Bowl have been canceled this season because of a couple depleted rosters.
The SMU Mustangs were supposed to play the Virginia Cavaliers in the Fenway Bowl. However, Virginia is unable to play and because of the last-minute notice, the Mustangs won’t get the chance to play against anyone as they won’t be able to find an opponent in time.
Sources: Can confirm Action Network Report that the Fenway Bowl between SMU and Virginia is off. SMU unlikely to find another opponent because of logistical challenges.

That’s not the only bowl impacted though.
Both the Fenway Bowl and the Military Bowl have been canceled due to COVID-19 issues
Unfortunately, the Boston College Eagles don’t have enough players available to compete in the Military Bowl due to a combination of problems caused by COVID-19 and injuries. The East Carolina Pirates were supposed to face off against the Eagles, but it looks like that game has been shut down as well.

It seems unlikely that these will be the last bowl games put on pause due to COVID-19. The Hawai’i Bowl was previously canceled after COVID issues and the Texas A&M Aggies had to back out of the Gator Bowl, leaving the folks in Jacksonville scrambling to find another team for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons to play.
Unfortunately, chances are we’ll see at least one more game shut down. Buckle up, folks.
