Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was among the many NFL players, fans, media members and more mourning the death of the legendary John Madden.

There wasn’t anyone in the NFL world that wasn’t deeply saddened by the unexpected death of Pro Football Hall of Famer, Super Bowl-winning head coach, and all-time great broadcaster John Madden on Tuesday.

That should be expected, though. Not only were his decades spent in the broadcast booth the soundtrack to many, many fans and their football fandom, but he was a true bastion of the beauty of the sport of football.

And one of the game’s current greats, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, clearly felt that way as well.

In the wake of the news of Madden’s shocking death, Mahomes took to Twitter to not only pay his respects but to also wish condolences to the Hall of Famer’s family.
