20. “Fitzmagic” Ryan Fitzpatrick

There is a small list of people in the world who no one hates- Ryan Fitzpatrick is on that list. Sure, he looks like Rhett McLaughlin from Good Mythical Morning, but he has carved out a long career for himself while playing with a staggering nine teams.

Fitzpatrick may be the greatest journeyman of all time. Not just because of his great nickname, but because you never know if you’re about to see another work of “Fitzmagic” or if you’re about to see a five interception game. Fitzpatrick has had his chances at being a starter in the league, and they have actually gone well, in some ways. His first major shot came in the 2008 season with the Cincinnati Bengals after Carson Palmer suffered an injury that kept him out for most of the season. The Bengals went 4-7-1 in the games that Fitzpatrick started.

He went to Buffalo in 2009, where he earned himself a big contract during his tenure in northern New York. The Bills didn’t win much, but Fitzpatrick threw for over 3,000 yards from 2010-2012 and at least 23 touchdowns in each of those seasons. Fitzpatrick had a career year with the Jets in 2015, throwing for 31 touchdowns and leading the Jets to a 10-6 record. He is still going strong in Washington, but a hip injury caused him to miss practically all of the 2021 season.
