Oregon: Justin Herbert
Not only did Herbert play college football in Eugene, he is also a Eugene native. The Chargers young superstar quarterback has the poised to be a contender for the next decade.
As a rookie in 2020, Herbert threw for over 4,300 yards and 31 touchdowns to just 10 interceptions. With two games left in the 2021 season, he has topped his 2020 total in terms of yards and touchdowns, and has the Chargers vying for a playoff spot. He is already one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in just his second season. The Chargers are going to be exciting to watch as long as Herbert is there.
Pennsylvania: Joe Montana
Pennsylvania has a plethora of really good quarterbacks- Jim Kelly, Matt Ryan, Dan Marino just to name a few. Montana is the obvious choice here simply based on his accomplishments.
The four time Super Bowl champion helped make the 49ers the team of the 1980s after being drafted out of Notre Dame. Along with Bill Walsh, Montana, Jerry Rice, Roger Craig and several other marquee players turned the Bay area into title town. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000, and is one of the most accomplished quarterbacks of all time.
