The best NFL quarterback from every state
Connecticut: Dan Orlovsky
The UConn legend, Dan Orlovsky is the best quarterback to ever come out of the state of Connecticut. Yes, the running gag on the former Detroit Lion is the fact that he ran out the back of his own end zone, but Orlovsky built a solid career for himself as a reliable backup for 11 seasons in the NFL.
While he was part of the 0-16 Lions team in which he started seven games, Orlovsky started five games for the Colts in 2011 while Peyton Manning was recovering from neck surgery. The Colts went 2-3 in those games, and Orlovsky finished the year throwing for six touchdowns and four interceptions.
Orlovsky is more known for his post-NFL career, where you can find him on ESPN’s family of networks and shows discussing the NFL, or doing commentary for college football games. He is widely regarded as one of the best analysts in the industry today.
Delaware: None
Surprisingly, there have been no quarterbacks who were from Delaware throughout NFL history. There have been a handful of notable players, though. Wendell Smallwood, Duron Harmon, and Troy Reeder are among the most notable names from Delaware. That said, no quarterbacks have come from that tiny state near Maryland and Pennsylvania.
