Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral had to be carted off the sideline at the Sugar Bowl after suffering a lower-body injury in the first quarter against Baylor.

The Ole Miss Rebels suffered a major blow in the first quarter of the Sugar Bowl as star quarterback Matt Corral was knocked out of the game.

Corral was taken down for a sack by Baylor and his leg appeared to get caught under a defender.

While the quarterback tried to limp his way off the field, he made his way to the medical tent with trainers and was ultimately taken for x-rays on a cart.

ESPN’s broadcast updated Corral’s status as “doubtful” for the rest of the game. He returned to the sideline without his pads on and walking with crutches.
