Buccaneers release Antonio Brown after mid-game meltdown
To no one’s surprise at all, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have cut Antonio Brown following his insane behavior on Sunday.
The days of Antonio Brown suiting up for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have come to a close. Matter of fact, it’d be a shock if we ever saw the controversial wideout back on an NFL gridiron ever again. His display on Sunday will surely scare any team away from giving him yet another chance.
In case you missed it, Brown took off his jersey and pads and ran into the locker room shirtless in the middle of Sunday’s win over the Jets. Now, Bruce Arians has wasted no time in saying that Brown has been cut by the organization.
Antonio Brown released by the Bucs was 100 percent coming
There was no way Arians was going to let Brown back inside the locker room after this embarrassing act. Brown not only abandoned his teammates in the middle of the Week 17 matchup, but he was already on thin ice as things stood.
Just recently, Brown was suspended by the NFL for three games after he was caught red-handed using a fake COVID vaccination card. Arians decided to let him suit up again for Tampa Bay, as Brown was ready to try and help this team repeat as Super Bowl champs.
Instead, Brown’s wild decision on Sunday has closed the door on any chance of that happening for him. There’s no denying Brown is a world-class athlete and a major difference-maker for the offense. With that said, there are consequences for dumb mistakes.
Tom Brady tried to do everything he could to help Brown stay out of trouble, but at the end of the day, Brown decided he was bigger than the team. That’s not going to fly and now he’s out of a job because of it.
